Catherine was born August 29, 1909 in Dallas TX. The family moved to California, where she grew up before returning to Dallas in 1927. She attended SMU and the University of Texas in Austin. She married her husband, H. A. "Tony" Ziegler, at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin in 1934. Catherine and Tony moved to Fort Worth, TX where Catherine has lived since 1937. Her husband died in 1979. Catherine was a member of Ridglea Country Club, Woman's Club of Fort Worth, Monticello Garden Club, Edna Gladney Auxiliary, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church for many years. In the Garden Section of the Woman's Club, Ikebana, and Monticello Garden Club, Catherine won awards and developed a fondness for decorative art, which led her to decoupage, decoration of eggs, wine bottles and other arts and crafts, which she gave as door prizes at Blossom in the Dust luncheons and to patients at nursing homes and hospitals. Catherine's only daughter, Susan Green, lived in Austin Tx with her husband, Dan Green, until her death in 2004. Following services at Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth, Tx. Catherine will be entombed with her husband in their crypt. Survivors: Son-in-law, Dan Green of Austin; niece, Mary Ann McLane and husband, Del of Waxahachie; nephews, Dan Clark of Waxahachie and Edward Clark III and wife, Trudy of Yuma, Ariz.; and several great nieces and nephews.
