Violet B. Bower, 86, of Midway Street died at noon Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a former employee of Arvin Industries and Como Products and was a homemaker.
A private graveside service will be today at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Barbara Grace officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bower was born Jan. 16, 1915, in Rushville, the daughter of Orval Headlee. She was the stepdaughter of Bertha Headlee. She married Arthur Curtis Bower. He died July 30, 1990.
Surviving are sons, William A. Bower of Mount Healthy and Robert E. Bower of Columbus; a daughter, Marlene Shafer of Columbus; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She also had several brothers and sisters.
