Dorothy A. Smith, 88, passed away March 4, 2008. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 66 years, Welford "Foots." She is survived by three children, Helen Duncan, Welford Smith and Faye Gunn; one brother, John D. Atkinson; five grandchildren, Shaun Smith, Sonny Hoge, Windy Lusk, Lance Hoge and Eric Gunn; also six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bliley's- Staples Mill, where services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, Peaks Road, Hanover.
