Catherine Atkinson Peatross, lovingly known as "Miss Kitty", left us in peace on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Thomas Bernard Peatross; daughter, Bonnie and her husband, Richard Jackson, M.D.; son and daughter-in-law, John and Dawn; sister, Dorothy Smith; and brother, John Atkinson. She was a member of the Gold Band Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. The family received friends Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Services were held Saturday Feb. 9, 2008 in the chapel of First Baptist Church, Monument Avenue and Boulevard. Graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
