Ramona (Furrow) Knuth, 81, of Elk Grove passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in her sleep, with her husband Robert by her side. Born January 27, 1928, in San Fernando, California daughter of Benjamin and Rosemary (Kramer) Furrow. Ramona married Robert Knuth in July 1948. Ramona lived the majority of her life in the Sacramento area where she raised a family, held a career as an Eligibility Worker for Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance, and made many friends. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be missed by all of those that knew and loved her. Survivors include children, Linda (Knuth) Mclachlan, and Toni Knuth; three grandchildren Wendy (Brown) Gallimore, Richard Mclachlan and Heather (Mclachlan) Wilson; three great-grandchildren; Amber Gallimore, Lane Wilson and Evan Wilson. Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Elk Grove Memorial Park and Mortuary (East Lawn) 9189 East Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95624, (916) 732-2031. A reception at the Knuth home will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to the Sacramento Firefighters Burn Unit, 3823 V Street, Suite #4, Sacramento, CA 95817.
