Alta Ford, daughter of Charles LeRoy and Cynthia Ann Ferrel was born December 4, 1890 at New London, Iowa. Two years later, in 1892, her family (father, mother and two sisters) came in a covered wagon from Iowa to Amherst, Colorado.
Alta was united in marriage to Albert Ford, Venango, Nebraska, in 1912. Their first home was a farm southwest of Holyoke in the Wages community. They later lived in Bailey and Loveland, Colorado. At the time of the death of her husband May 15, 1966, they were living in Denver.
(Albert was buried in Holyoke, # 38635381.) Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Elfie Jeffs and Della Green.
She is survived by one brother, Grover A. Ferrel of Lamar, Nebraska, two nephews, Lowell Ferrel of Imperial, Nebraska and Lee Summers of Long Beach, California, one niece, Margie Machart of Denver, other relatives and many friends.
She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Imperial, Nebraska Branch. She also attended the Wages Church and the First Christian Church at Holyoke.
