According to Alphonse and Albert Weinberger, grandsons of Allois, the death year should be 1896 - the headstone has 1886 in error.

According to St. Martin's Church records he was buried at St. Martin's Cemetery, Tours, Texas. We are still researching to find an answer of why his old headstone was found at First Street Cemetery.

Allois Weinberger had another headstone at First Street Cemetery in Waco, Texas - Find a Grave Memorial # 194402994 - which includes a picture of the headstone, with the correct date of death. The grave marker is no longer at First Street Cemetery, as it was located in an area that was excavated for building of the Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, the Fort Fischer Park or one of the parking areas for the facility.
Attached is a picture of the headstone from First Street Cemetery.

Allois and Maria (Schlehuber) had another child named Joseph who was born in Illinois, between Sophie and Albert. Joseph died while the Weinbergers were living in Peoria, Texas. He is buried at Peoria Cemetery, Peoria, Hill Co., Texas. Albert, Julius and Alphonse Weinberger and Leo Miller and Louise (Miller) Duncan all knew where Joseph was buried, but the last time anyone went out to the Peoria Cemetery they could not find the grave. They were told that the cemetery burned off at one time and a lot of the stones were ruined and that there are no records of the old burials. There are many unmarked graves of rural residents and transients in this cemetery.
