SEIBEL, LAWRENCE*
Lawrence Seibel, 64, of Lodi, died in a local convalescent hospital Wednesday afternoon following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Bowden, North Dakota and moved to Lodi with his parents in 1928. He attended Lodi schools.
Mr. Seibel served in the National Guard before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1939. He served until 1945.
After returning to Lodi Mr. Seibel was a printer for the cannery that is now known as Pacific Coast Producers. He retired in 1979 after 30 years with the company.
In 1952 he married Clara L. Liebelt.
Mr. Seibel is survived by; his wife, Clara L. Seibel of Lodi; step-son, Lonnie Leibelt of Woodbridge; step-daughter, Betty Webber of Woodbridge; his mother, Antonella Seibel of Lodi; five sisters, Frances Rund of Lodi; Leora Novak of San Jose; Leoma Mola of Washington; Viola Jones of Lodi; three brothers, John Seibel of Lodi; Gerald Seibel of Lodi; Edwin Seibel of Lodi; and seven step grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2:30pm in the Lodi Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after Saturday noon.
