George Archer, Sr. 81, of 1000 S. Broad St, died Wednesday morning in the Marshall Rest Home, Columbus.
Mr. Archer leaves three sons, George Jr., Lancaster, Joseph C. and Gilbert E., Columbus, one daughter, Ann Hull, Fremont, 12 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren.
Archer's wife and one daughter preceded him in death. Archer was a charter member of Murray City Eagles, and had lived in Lancaster since 1945. He was employed by Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. until his retirement.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Johnson Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with Dr. F. M. Wentz officiating.
Burial will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the Johnson funeral home after 7 p m Thursday.
