MRS. FANNIE STOLLENWERCK

Mrs. Fannie Baker Stollenwerck passed away early Sunday morning at the King's Daughters' Hospital after a heart attack Friday at the home of the Misses Weller where she was living.

She had been a lifelong resident of Staunton, having been born here Jan. 19, 1872 a daughter of Christian Streit Baker and Isabella Frances Baylor Baker. She attended Virginia Female Institute in her girlhood. In 1900 she was married to Benjamin Laurence Stollenwerck of Greensboro, Ala., a Staunton druggist who died ten years ago.

Mrs. Stollenwerck was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and an active worker therin as long as her health permitted. From 1931 to 1944 she was associated with Mary Baldwin College in the office of the dean.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Day Carper, a missionary to the Belgian Congo who is now in this country on furlough, and two grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Thornrose Cemetery.
