Richard "Dick" Theodore Behrendt, 72 yrs, died Saturday, 8 June 1991 in the San Juan Living Center in Montrose, CO.

The son of Paul and Frieda (Brey) Behrendt, he was born 15 Aug. 1918, in Billings, MT, where he spent his childhood and received his education, graduating from Billings High School. He then attended the University of CO in Boulder, receiving his bachelor of science degree. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

During WW11, Mr. Behrendt served his country in communications with the U. S. Army.

On June 4, 1955, he was married to Esther Louise Loken in Billings, MT.

The Behrendts moved from Billings to Montrose 29 years ago where they had since made their home.

Dick was an avid fisherman, ham radio operator and hunter.

He was survived by his wife Esther, and son Richard.

His body was brought to Billings, where he was buried with his parents.

After the death of his wife, Esther, who died in Grand Junction, CO in 2007, her cremains were brought to Billings and buried with her husband.
