Arthur Spain and Miss Bessie Gales were quietly married at the home of the brides parents, Mr and Mrs Carlisle Gales, in East Church Street Monday evening at 9 o'clock. The ceremony was performed by the Rev William Allen and was witnessed by only the immediate relatives and friends. The young people are well known and popular in colored society and have the congratulations of their many friends. They have already gone to housekeeping.
