Sammy Stanford Burke, age, 57, was a lifetime Atoka Oklahoma area resident.
Sammy was born October 21, 1951 to Sam Houston Burke and Mary "Jo" (Wise) Burke at Salinas, California.
As a baby Sammy won the most beautiful baby in the Gerber Baby Contest.
He passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at Tesoma Medical Center Hospital at Denison, Tx.
Sammy attended the Atoka, Oklahoma public schools where he graduated with class of 1969.
He worked as parts manager for the Ethan Allen Plant north of Atoka.
Sammy was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching movies and building model cars as a young man.
