George and Sarah(Foster) Porter came to Atchison county, Kansas,where they were among the earliest pioneers in the spring of 1855 and settled a tract of land just one-half mile from Potter,KS.
George died at the age of 65. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery near Potter, Kansas.
