Mrs. Anton (Rosa) Berger, 89, or Tours died Friday, September 22, 1989 in a Waco hospital.

Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday by Rev. David Liebham in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Isidore Rocycki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours.

Mrs. Berger was born May 12, 1900 in Tours. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Society. She and her husband, Anton Berger, owned and operated the Berger Grocery Store in Tours from 1943 to 1951. She also operated the Tumble Inn in Tours. Her husband died September 4, 1972.

Survivors include one son, Wilfred (Bill) Berger of Tours; two daughters, Stella Pavlicek of Tours and Doris Bennett of Leroy; two sisters, Anna Yoston of Muenster and Mary Willenborg of West; three brothers, Paul Filer and Isidore Filer, both of Houston, and Joe W. Filer of Tours; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearerrs were: Greg Pavlicek, Steve Berger, John Neill, Wesley Filer, Edwin Nors, and Gary Berger.
