Crescenz Wiesmaier was born on March 18, 1845 in Grub, Landkreis Cham, Bavaria, Germany (Pfarrei Kötzting, Bistum Regensburg). She was baptized on March 19, 1845. Her parents are Michael Wiesmaier from Grub and Anna Schreiner from Watzlhof.
Maria had four siblings that we know of as follows:
Catharina Wiesmaier b. 23 Mar 1848 Grub, Landkreis Cham, Bavaria, Germany
Francis Wiesmaier b. 02 Dec 1850, d. 09 Dec 1850 Grub, Landkreis Cham, Bavaria, Germany
Joseph Wiesmaier b. 28 Dec 1851 Grub, Landkreis Cham, Bavaria, Germany
Carolina Wiesmaier b. 26 Mar 1855, d. 01 Apr 1855 Grub, Landkreis Cham, Bavaria, Germany
[Above births and deaths documented with baptism and death records from the parish church records - Pfarrei Kötzling, Bistum Regensburg.]
We have been unable to locate any pictures of Crescenz (Wiesmaier) Berger. According to a family story, Johann Berger's second wife, Anna (Ferstl) Berger, got angry at Johann and Crescenz's children for fussing over who would get the pictures. Anna put a stop to the fussing. One day when everyone was gone, she threw the pictures in the fire and burned them.
