"Andrew suffered a fatal accident last Tuesday when he went into the woods to cut wood, and after cutting a tree which lodged against a sapling; he cut down the sapling which struck him on the head, knocking him insensible, and falling on him, fastened him between the limb and an old log, where he lay for some time. A neighbor, hearing his cries for help, came to his assistance and helped him out. He lingered until Thursday,(March 31, 1870) when he died. His age was about 79."
