Mrs. Barbara Bruce Friedly of Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Charlottesvile, Va., died Saturday, May 27, 2006 following a period of declining health.
Mrs. Friedly was born July 15, 1929 in Sparrows Point, Baltimore County, Md., to Upshur James Bruce and Nedra Bickers Bruce. She was married to Lionel Dale Friedly on Sept. 21, 1947 until his death on June 1, 1984. Mrs. Friedly was employed by the Baltimore County school system for 24 years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church throughout her life and served in many capacities in the church. At her death she was a member of Rhodes United Methodist Church in Afton, Va.
Following a graveside service, Mrs. Friedly was interred next to her husband, parents and grandparents in Riverview Cemetery in Charlottesville, VA on Friday June 2,, 2006 at 2 p.m.
