Virginia I. Coblentz, 65, of 1310 Oaktree Drive, Greenville, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday at her residence following an extended illness.
Born Nov. 9, 1926, in Union City, Ind., Mrs. Coblentz is the daughter of the late Jesse R. and Alma E. (Matthews) Hartman.
Mrs. Coblentz was a homemaker and a member to the Oakland Church of the Brethren and the Greenville chapter of the Pi Beta Psi sorority. She had formerly been involved in the Greenville Art Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne D., whom she married June 22, 1946; two sons, Charles E. of Maysville, W.Va., and Wayne Allen of South Charleston, Ohio; five daughters, Patricia A. Nelson and Kristi Falldorf, both of West Alexandria, Deborah S. Kuhnle of Greenville, Sheri L. Birt of Columbus, Ind., and Rebecca R. Hootman of Arcanum; 14 grandchildren; and one brother, Charles L. Hartman of Greenville.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Fred Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakland Church of the Brethren Organ Fund, Hospice of Darke County or the American Cancer Society.
