Mrs. Bertha Allen Woodward, wife of Archie Woodward, residing on the north side, passed away last evening at 7:15 at the General hospital where she had an operation performed. Death resulted from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Woodward was only 22 years of age and less than a year ago, January 21, she was united in marriage to MR. Woodward. She was formerly a school teacher at Cairo and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. N. Alford of that place. Besides her heartbroken husband and parents three brothers are left to mourn her loss. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from Trinity M. E. church on North Sycamore street and at 3 o'clock the remains will be sent to Cairo for internment. Rev. McDonald of the Methodist church at Cairo will conduct the service. Friends wishing to view the remains can do so tomorrow morning from 10 until 11 o'clock at the undertaking parlors of Geddes & company.
