~MY ANCESTOR~
The son of DANIEL & LILLIE (HEALY) SKINNER, he married MARY POLLY (CHASE) CLARK, widow of Dr. Joshua Clark, about 1792 in Wayne Co., Pennsylvania.

He was a private in Captain Benjamin Schoonover's 5th Battalion, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, and the first Justice of the Peace in Wayne Co., Pennsylvania. On Aug. 17, 1793, he purchased 10 acres on the west side of the Delaware river from his parents.
