Mr. Alton was a retired derrick hand for an oil field petroleum company. He loved watching television especially "Wheel A Fortune" and enjoyed trying to solve the puzzles. He also enjoyed listening to french music and picking cans.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory is his two loving daughters, three brothers, one sister, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jay Dean Gatte Degeyter; one son, Ricky Degeyter; two sisters, Noeda and Beaulah Degeyter; four brothers, Noe, Alfred, Simon, and Lester; and one great granddaughter, Madison Gatte.
