ETHEL MILLER
---Ethel Miller, 84, of Gifford, died at 3 o'clock Sunday morning (March 14, 1982) in Kirksville Manor Care Center, where she had been a patient since Jan. 28.
---Born July 31, 1897 in Adair County north of Gifford, she was the daughter of Thomas Harrison and Emma Fuson Miller. Miss Miller was a graduate of the Kirksville Normal School and taught many years in rural Adair and adjoining counties. Her entire life was spent on the same farm north of Gifford.
---Miss Miller was a member of the Gifford Christian Church.
---Surviving are two brothers, Manford Miller of Gifford and Andrew Miller of 902 E. Dear and 13 nieces and nephews.
---She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cintha Miller and Alice Walters; and three brothers, Earnest Miller, Vernon Miller and Roscoe Miller.
---Funeral services were at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon (March 16, 1982) in the Pollock Funeral Home in La Plata. The Rev. Tony Bland, pastor of the La Plata Baptist Church, conducted the services. Music was provided by Rosina Berry, organist, and Trudy Pollock, soloist. The selection was "Beyond The Sunset." Burial was in the Indian Hill Cemetery north of Gifford.
---Bearers were: Gary Belfield, Cecil Belfield, Edwin Miller, Clifford Miller, Nolan Miller and Gerald Burnett.
