He was a devoted member of Brown Christian Church and attended faithfully. He was united in marriage January 1917 to Elsie Bell O'Dell who preceded him in death on October 22, 1950. To this union was born 6 children; Juanita Combs, of Champaign, Ill., Marjorie Cornwell of West Union, Ill., Helen Piper of Marion, Ill., and Bill Mulvaney of Houston, Texas who survive, 2 infant sons preceded him in death.
On January 13, 1962 he was married to Mrs. Pearl Bradley at Marion, Ill. In addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers, Lloyd and Fred Mulvaney of Kinmundy, Ill., four step-daughters, Geneva Wollard, marion, Ill., Wilma Schaubert, Carterville, Ill., Louise Fisher of Metropolis, Ill., and Nadine Jack of Tennessee. Two step-sons, Carol and Dan Bradley of Maryland and 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Brown Christian Church, June 30, at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Carl Parker officiating. Burial was in Phillips Cemetery. Pall bearers were Ronnie Cornwell, Larry Piper, Jerold Combs, Jerold Mulvaney, Eugene Mulvaney, and Oren Mulvaney.
