Mrs. Louis Lawrence, 64, R.1 Kiel, died Sunday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Nee Ella Ladwig, she was born near Kiel Oct. 10, 1895, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ladwig. She was educated in the Kiel public schools and was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Reformed Church in Kiel.
On September 6, 1916, she was married to Louis Lawrence of Kiel and the couple made their home there. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Woman's Guild and Frauen Verein of the church. She was a charter member of the G.U.G. Germania Society and a member of the Kiel Chapter of the Eastern Star and the Kasper-Beckley-Wilkins American Legion Post Auxiliary. Survivors are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Thrilby) Oim of Green Bay, three sons, Erland, Donald and Curtis of Kiel. Four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Fred Wetzel of Kiel, and a brother, Walter, of Sheboygan. A daughter, one sister, and four brothers preceded her in death.
