Arrived in the USA at the Port of Philadelphia on February 12, 1887 - Ship: British Prince (her name was miss-spelled on the manifest and the ages of the children were not correct). She was accompanied by her brother Benjamin Jeavons. Her husband, Alfred arrived earlier. Her son, Alfred Irons Jr. accompanied her mother, Mary Cartlidge Jeavons earlier on July 6, 1886

SARAH IRONS, AGE 92, DIES AT RESIDENCE HERE, Native of England Survived by Seven Children
Sarah Irons, 92, wife of the late Alfred Irons, died last evening at her home 99 Riverside Drive, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Irons was born March 3, 1848 in England, the daughter of the late William and Mary Cartledge Jeavons. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Deceased is survived by four sons and three daughters: Alfred; Mrs. Mary Momme of 704 Chain St.; Albert of Atlanta, GA; Louis A. of Decatur, GA, Harry of Woodbury, NJ; Mrs. Nellie Reeves of Clarksburg, WV, Mrs. Sarah Charlesworth, at home. Twenty-three grand-children and 31 great-grandchildren survive. The funeral will be held at 2, Tuesday afternoon from the D. Rae Boyd Funeral Home, 718 Swede St. Interment will be in Montgomery Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Monday evening.
