Kinder- Funeral service for Kenny Chaffin, 36, will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in First United Pentecostal Church of Kinder. Rev. T.L. Smith, Rev. Rod Nesmith, and Rev. Mike Paxton will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will be held in First United Pentecostal Church of Kinder Tuesday from 3pm-9pm and will continue Wednesday at 8am until time of service. Kenny was a resident of Reeves. He had a passion for music so he loved playing many instruments including, the accordion, the banjo, guitar, drums, and trumpet. Kenny worked at Kinder Rental and he also worked at D'Ryan's Music, where he taught music lessons. Kenny was also an avid fisherman. He passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 in his residence. Survivors include his parents, Jessie & Brenda Chaffin of Reeves; one sister, Rene` Hall and husband Timmy of LeBlanc; paternal grandmother, Joanna Chaffin of Indian Village; maternal grandmother, Bernice Brown of Indian Village a host of aunts, uncles, & cousins.
