ESTHER L. KUHFUSS
Esther L. Kuhfuss, 64 years old, of R.R. 1, Wabasha, Sand Prairie, MN, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Wabasha Monday, December 12, 1983 of cancer, after an illness of eight years.
She was born in Northfield, MN, August 17, 1919, the former Esther Larson. On August 9, 1939, in Rochester, she married Garfield Kuhfuss.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Bulaga of Mantorville, MN; Carol Stocker of Kasson, MN; two sons, Rev. Kim Kuhfuss, River Falls, WI and Mark Kuhfuss of Minneapolis, MN; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis and Lloyd Larson of Rochester, MN; two sisters, Bernice Brummund, Wabasha, MN and Myra Schuck, Byron, MN.
She moved as an infant to Ellsworth, WI and as a young adult moved to Rochester and then in 1979 moved to Wabasha, Sand Prairie. She worked outside of the home as a dietary aid at the Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home, Rochester and also worked for the Waters Conley Corporation. A member of the Assembly of God Church, Rochester and the VFW Auxiliary, Rochester. Her husband, Garfield, was a well-known musician having the "Gardy K Band" and is a retired rehabilitation therapist of Rochester State Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 1983 at Ranfranz Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Craig W. Carter officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 to 11 a.m.
