Alma Logan Thomas, 77, of Springfield died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at her home. She was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Eden, Miss., the daughter of Tommy Logan and Cora Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Thomas, in 1999; a son, Henry Hall; and a daughter, Delores Thomas.
Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of Faith Temple AME Church.
Survivors: two sons, Jimmie (wife, Margaret) Logan and Michael Thomas, both of Springfield; six daughters, Barbara J. McKinnie, Betty McKinney, and Faith, Ruth, Shelley and Barbara A. Thomas, all of Springfield; 48 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Orange Chester (wife, Artie), Tommy (wife, Faye), William (wife, Earlene) and Leon (wife, Opie) Logan, all of Springfield; three sisters, Betty Logan and Rochelle (husband, Gerald) Burton, both of Springfield, and Ethel Johnson of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: Faith Temple AME Church, the Rev. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery.
