Obituary
Florence Tucker, wife of Hance Aaroe was born on a farm seven miles southeast of Eureka, August 29, 1891. There she lived with her father for a number of years, her mother having died when she was a child. As she grew to womanhood she united with the Little Flock Baptist church at the age of sixteen years, ever after living a faithful Christian life.
When she was nineteen years of age she was married to Hance Aaroe, October 26, 1910, with whom she began her married life on a farm five miles east of Eureka, living there until 1915 when they moved to Osage county, Kansas, remaining there three years, afterwards they returned to Greenwood county. They again settled on a farm five miles east of Eureka, where they lived until this spring when they decided to go to Arkansas in the hope of improving her health.
While there they located at Lowell, where she died as a result of typhoid fever, August 23, 1923, at the age of 31 years, 11 months, 23 days. She leaves to mourn her early death, a loving husband and three children, Leota Marie, Albert Arthur and Eva Lena, also her father, J.T. Tucker, a step-mother, and four half brothers. Walter, Chester, Roy and Howard, all of Eureka, also a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services was conducted at the home east of town, Saturday morning by Rev. F.E. Carter. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
