For many years Peleg was a ship's carpenter. He would have been a highly skilled artisan, who helped maintain a ship, or possibly more than one with a small team, during peace time and war.
Peleg served as a Private during the Revolutionary War and was in Capt. Ezra Ormsbee's Militia Company of Warren in 1776. Six of his Easterbrook kin also served in the same company.
He and Rebecca had at least eight children.
Members of Peleg's family settled in Orwell, Penn. And in later years he and his wife joined them.
Peleg died in the autumn of 1828, and his wife in Feb. 1838. Both are buried at Wysox, Penn., where they had gone to live with their son William S. Both Peleg and his wife eventually became blind, but he regained his sight a few days before his death.
