Herman Emmett Accorded Rites

Funeral services for Addis Herman Emmett, 64, who died at Yakima, Wash., May 5 of a stroke, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Big Horn Stake chapel.

Bishop Scott Welch officiated and burial was in the Lovell cemetery under the direction of the Haskell Funeral Home.

Mr. Emmett resided in this area 60 years before going to Washington two and a half years ago. He was formerly engaged in the feed business here, and at one time was town marshal.

He was born in Sedona, Ariz., May 21, 1901, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Emmett.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James Breiling of Fairfield, Calif., Mrs. Howard Whitlock, Indio, Calif., Mrs. Harvey Wagner of Lovell, Mrs. Jim Walker of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Miss Linda Emmett of Lovell; two sons, Herman and Lyle of Lovell; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Curtis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Carl Schmidt of Gooding, Ida., Miss Gladys Emmett of Columbia, Mo. and Mrs. Hilda Poague of Helena; four brothers, Swan, Paul and Forrest (Turk) of Lovell and Jay of Joliet, Mont.; and 18 grandchildren.

LOVELL, Wyo. -- Funeral services for Addis Herman Emmett, 64, who died at Yakima, Wash., Wednesday of a stroke, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lovell LDS Chapel.
