Wertz Rites Announced
SERVICES for Erving Chester Wertz, 77, of 1012 S. Main Street will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Darrow of Warner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Wertz was a retired machinest and carpenter. He was born October 12, 1882, at Annalee, Illinois. He married Clara Carlson November 24, 1905, in Aberdeen. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Moose. His wife, two sisters, two brothers, one son and one grandson preceded him in death. Survivors include three sons: Francis of Aberdeen; Erwin, of Portland, Oregon; and Robert of South Sioux City, Nebraska; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Olive) Werth; Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Hagel and Mrs. Frank (Jean) Mardin, all of Aberdeen; two brothers, James of Rt. 1; and George of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Wedegartner, Aberdeen; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Wertz died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital. The Kreuger-Johnson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
