White County History, page 622, says Jacob Hunsinger came to White CO. IL in 1818 and the first election in Burnt Prairie was in 1818 in the house of Jacob Hunsinger, Sr. one mile south of Liberty.
Jacob, son of Mathias and Mary (Gears) Hunsinger. Brother of Adam, Catherine, George, David, Susan, Samuel, Mary, Daniel, Elizabeth and Sarah.
Jacob married in April 1805, Muhlenberg Co. KY, Elizabeth "Betsy" Shull, dau. of Peter and Anna Dorothea (Kinsey) Shull.
