Mrs. Lucinda Foster died at her home in this city, Monday, of complications of diseases. She was born in Washington County, Indiana, January 7, 1830 and was married to Joseph A. Foster at the age of 20. They came to Iowa about thirty years ago and lived most of the time near Iveyville. Mr. Foster died eighteen years ago and Mrs. Foster had been a resident of Corning only a few months. She was a woman of many good qualities and had the esteem of all in the community which was her home for so many years. A son, J. D. Foster and two daughters, Mrs. James Mitchell and Mrs. James Rimmer survive her. All live near Iveyville. The funeral will be held this morning at 11 o’clock from the Church of Christ and the remains will be taken to the Prairie Rose Cemetery in Jasper township for interment.
