In Loving Memory of Glen H. Rosendahl:

It has pleased Almighty God to call from this vale of tears to Himself in Heaven the soul of Glen H. Rosendahl, who died early Tuesday, April 7, 1992, at the Humboldt Care Center North, Humboldt, IA; where he had lived for the last six months. He was 71 years of age.
Glen Herman Rosendahl the son of Gerd and Ecke (Janssen) Rosendahl, was in born in Center Twp. north of Rockwell City in Calhoun County, IA. He was Baptized into the Christian Faith on April 3, 1921 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Manson, IA.
Glen grew up and received his education in the Gilmore City-Bradgate area. He reaffirmed his Baptismal vows through the Rite of Confirmation on April 5, 1936 at First Lutheran Church of Gilmore City. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War @ and married Faye Larson on May 2, 1944 at First Lutheran Church of Humboldt, IA.
Glen farmed and was employed in several industries in the Humboldt area. He worked in construction and welding. He retired about ten years ago. Glen and Faye lived all of there married life in the Humboldt area.
Glen was a 25 year member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church of Humboldt, IA; former member of First Lutheran of Humboldt, and First Lutheran of Gilmore City, IA. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and served as VFW Chaplain and was a member of the VFW Honor Guard for many years.
Burial will be at Indian Mound Cemetery of Humboldt-Dakota City, with military honors. Military rites will be by veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5240 of Dakota City, IA.
Glen is Lovingly Remembered by his wife Faye of Humboldt; four sons: Brian of Louisburg, Kansas; Gail of Rector, Arkansas; Glenn of Thor, IA; and Gary of Osawatomie, Kansas; one daughter: Margaret Rosendahl of Humboldt, IA; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Helen Harris of Dakota City, IA; Dorothy Abel of Pensacola, FL; and Arlene Chantland of Humboldt, IA; Two brothers, Carl of Carlton, Oregon; and Vernon Rosendahl of Wenatchee, Wash; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He joins in Heaven: his parents, Gerd and Ecke (Janssen) Rosendahl; son, Cletus; grandaughter, Sheila; brother, Arthur "Art" Rosendahl; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Harris.
