Pvt. Mitchell Evans, Company E, 25th Regiment, South Carolina Infantry, Confederate States Army. Wounded and captured at the 2nd Battle of the Weldon Railroad (Globe Tavern), August 21, 1864. Died while in captivity of "gunshot wound to right leg, with amputation" at McClellan USA General Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Originally buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. Removed to Philadelphia National Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA in 1866.
