Mrs. Thompson, 66, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at Artesia General Hospital.
Mrs. Thompson was born June 22, 1942 in Pampa, Texas; the daughter of Elbert Ironmonger and Pauline Florence (Stone) Ironmonger.
On Feb. 11 , 1959 she was married to Harold Wesley Thompson in Clayton, N.M. She came to Artesia in 1962 from Pampa. Harold Thompson died July 8, 2009.
She was a homemaker and member of Centre Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include son Robert Thompson and wife Kenni of Artesia; daughter Tammy Trujillo and husband Frank of Artesia; brother John Ironmonger and wife Janice of Artesia; 2 grandchildren Jessica Lynn Trujillo of Artesia, and Jonathon David Trujillo of Artesia; several nieces and nephews.
