MARIE DOSTER

Marie Banning Doster, 83, a resident of the Decatur Community Care Center, died at 8:41 a.m. Sunday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, where she had been hospitalized 1 1/2 weeks.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Andrews.
Born in Huntington on Jan. 22, 1897, she was the daughter of Charles and Vera Weber-Andrews, and was married in 1917 to Lawrence N. Banning, who died in 1940. She later married Alvie L. Doster in 1947 and he died in 1955.
Survivors include three children, Herbert N. Banning, Decatur; Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Duff, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Richard (Gertrude) Hendricks, Lawrence, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. John (Faye) Hefner, North Manchester; two brothers, Charles Andrews, Huntington; Floyd Andrews, Andrews; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. One sister and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home, with Rev. Sylvester Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to the First Christian Church in Andrews.
