Jim Heatherly, 79, of Bear Creek died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Russellville Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with burial in Bear Creek Cemetery. Bro. Hollis Boyd will officiate. Pinkard Funeral Home will direct.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m tonight, April 22, 2002, at the funeral home.
A life-long resident of the Haleyville area, he attended the Light House Church. He and his wife, Lois, were the former owners of the Spur Service Station.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Heatherly; a son, Larry Wayne Heatherly; and his wife, Lois Heatherly.
He is survived by a son, Jack Heatherly of Haleyville; two daughters, Marie Edwards of Bear Creek and Kathy Smith of Haleyville; two sisters; a brother; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
