Live Oak, June 12.- Mrs JW Register, one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of Jasper, died at her home in that city last night at 9 o'clock. She was ill but a few minutes; stricken at about 8:30 o'clock when apparently in her usual health, death came. Efforts of physicians proved fruitless to stay the life in answer to the call, and this Christian home was robbed of mother.
Mrs Register was about 60 yeas of age, and is survived by her husband, Hon. J W Register, and daughters: Mrs Joe S Roof, Mrs R E McNeill, Mrs C TA Baisden of this city and Mrs Katie Paulk of Tifton, Galk and three sons: JT, John and Griff Register all of Jasper.
The body was laid to rest in the Jasper cemetery this afternoon in the presence of a very large number of friends and relatives.
