"Kate Register Paulk was the daughter of James W. Register ( Feb.4, 1850-June 1929) of Hamilton County, Florida and Florence Rainey Register (March 11, 1851-June 1917)of Jasper and Hamilton County, Florida. She had studied music at the Jasper Norman Instute and at the Atlanta Conservatory and Brenau in Georgia. After her husband died, she taught music in Tifton and was a charter member and first president of the new Tifton Music Club. She taught music to boys and girls in Tifton until she was in advanced age."
