HULL

Bertha Alma Hull, 84, formerly of Russell, died at 12:55 a.m., March 1, 1978 at Elmview Care Center, Burlington, Iowa. She was born March 28, 1893 in Lucas County, Iowa to Jacob and Lena Shreck Hupp. She was married to Archie J. Hull on March 25, 1914. He died in 1955.

She lived in Russell before moving in 1969 to 910 W. 2nd in Ottumwa. She spent the last three years at Jefferson Square Manor until three weeks ago when she moved to Burlington.

She leaves two daughters: Mrs. Vera Cook of Burlington and Mrs. Donald (Mabel) Hammond of Ottumwa; one son, Clifford Hull of Ottumwa; one daughter-in-law and son-in-law; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a good friend of some 65 years, Margaret McGee of Albia; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Hull of Chariton and one brother-in-law, Leonard Hull of Huron, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Minnie Relph and Annie Vickroy; three brothers, Sam, Newton and William; one granddaughter, Carolyn Jean and a son-in-law, Earl Cook.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Wauneita McConnell officiating. Burial was in the Russell Cemetery.
