VERA V. COOK
Vera Vina Cook, 76, of Burlington, died June 3 at her home.
She was a housekeeper and had worked in various hotels and private homes throughout her career. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting and embroidery.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Bissell, Ruth Maxine Morris and Clara Osborn, all of Burlington; one granddaughter, Sarah Bissell; five grandsons, Mark Bissell, James Morris, Tony Morris, Robert Osborn and Roger Osborn; granddaughters-in-law, Melinda Morris and Patti Osborn; one great-grandson, Matthew Morris; one sister, Mabel Hammond of Ottumwa; a brother, Clifford Hull of Agency; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Monday, June 7, at the Russell Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Humburg conducting. Prugh's Funeral Service in Burlington was in charge of the arrangements.
