Mrs. Frank Kennaday Died in Hospital, Following Long Illness

One of Saratoga's best known matrons was called this week, when Mrs. Frank F. Kennaday passed away about 6:00 a.m. yesterday at the Memorial Hospital in Rawlins. Death came as result of complications following a serious major operation performed May 15. Mrs. Kennaday had been very ill for the past several months, but surgical relief had not been decided upon until the middle of this month. Her condition had grown more critical following the operation, and every effort to save her life proved of no avail.

Mabel Pierce Kennaday was born in Denver January 5, 1897, and was 43 years of age. She came to the Platte valley with her parents about 38 years ago. She was married to Frank F. Kennaday on July the 4th, 1913, and the couple became the parents of seven children, all of whom survive her. The body has been brought to Saratoga, and services and burial will be held Saturday. Definite arrangements will be announced later.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Thomas, Forrest, and Lincoln Kennaday; four daughters, Mrs. Earl Ramsey, Mrs. James Marier, and June Kennaday, all of Saratoga, and Rose, now married and residing somewhere in Oklahoma; her mother Mrs. Mary Pierce of Saratoga; a sister, Mrs. C. W. Webb of Saratoga; a half-sister, Mrs. Dick Rowland of Denver, and a number of nieces and gradchildren.
