Howard Clevenger, 94, died Oct. 2, 1992, in the Excelsior Springs Nursing Center, where he lived. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Old New Garden Primitive Baptist Church, Excelsior Springs; burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Clevenger was born in rural Ray County and lived in Carson City, Nev., before moving to Excelsior Springs in 1967. He was an engineer for the Nevada State Highway Department, retiring in 1962. He was a member of the church. Survivors include a son, Paul Clevenger, Naperville, Ill.; two daughters, Ethel Holm, Renton, Wash., and Dorothy Sanberg, Manteca, Calif.; three brothers, George Clevenger, Wichita Falls, Texas, James Clevenger, West Sacramento, Calif., and Harold Clevenger, Bellflower, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
