Jaro Blaha, a lifetime resident of the Glasco community, passed away Sunday, January 30 at his home southwest of Glasco, following pneumonia complications. He was 71 years and 20 days of age. Mr. Blaha was born January 10, 1895 at Ada, the son of Vincent and Anna Blaha. He lived and farmed in the Bohemian community southwest of Glasco. Survivors include his brother, Henry of Glasco; two sisters, Helen Kropac of Cleveland, OH and Ella Kosar of Oklahoma City, OK; two nephews, Clarence Blaha of Wichita, and Frank Henry of Linn; and a niece Mary Ann Bucklin of Chicago, IL. Funeral services were conducted from the Dean Funeral Home in Glasco, Wednesday, February 2, with Rev. Gordon Tasker officiating. Internment was in the Bohemian National Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Henry Blaha, Joe Schramek, Wyburn Boucek, Lloyd Boucek, Frank Keim and Joe Jindra. Organist was Nadine Teasley and singer was Ronald King.
