This DAR memorial appears to be incorrect as to his age. John Young was listed as 16 when he arrived in SC from Ireland in 1767. He was listed as age 90 in the 1840 Wilcox County, AL compiled census and in the 1840 US Federal Census. These match to his being born in about 1750, not 1747.
