Died, at the brick hospital Saturday evening, Eleazor Cole, formerly of Fairmont, Neb., of a complication of diseases, aged 81 years. His niece-in-law, Mrs. Cole of Lincoln, was at his bedside when he died. He leaves two sons, J. Cole, of Florence, Neb., and J. Cole, of Lincoln, Neb. His wife preceded him about two years ago and is buried in the cemetery close to the home. He was corporal of Co. B 33rd Iowa Infantry, transferred to the Co. C 4th U.S. Vet. Reserve Corps, and served 34 months and 25 days. He was discharged July 17, 1865. He was born in Washington county, Va. Mr. Cole was a member of the Christian church and was called an elder in that denomination. He was a man of sterling character and was highly respected.
