MRS. RAY JAMES

Mrs. Ray James, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Krutsinger, was born near Oakley, Lucas county, Iowa, February 1, 1883, and departed this life September 6, 1916, at the age of 33 years, 7 months and 6 days.

She was united in marriage to Ray James at Indianola, Iowa, August 14, 1913. To this union one son was born, who is left motherless at the tender age of 17 months.

She united with the M. E. church some 14 years ago. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and as her life was gradually slipping away she told her husband the time had come when her darling babe would be left without a mother's tender care and that there was a message to be delivered and was to be carried on the right side and in the right way at the right time.

Largely attended funeral services were held from the Mt. Zion church near Oakley, Friday at 11:00 a.m., interment made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
